This past weekend we took our first plane ride with my husband as a pilot. He has had his private pilot license for almost 3 years but it has taken us this long to go anywhere with him. While he was getting the plane ready for flight we were hanging out in the hangar, which I have now found to be the coolest place to take photos.
I am not a photographer at all nor do I know anything about photography. I take bizillion photos and erase 99.9% of them. That is how I deal with my awful photo skills. I have also found a really cool button on Picasa called sharped which helps me a lot lately. As for photoshop: yes it is great, yes I have some version of it on my computer, no I have not really opened it, no I do not have the time to spend endless hours to learn the program. So for now I am stuck with trial and error but I think I am slowly getting better, well maybe.
I do not have the tendency to hang out in hangars either. See my husband belongs to a flying club that has about 65 members all using 4 planes. It is not that much different then a golf club except that you may be buying cheaper headphones instead of expensive golf clubs, paying more for gas and less for booze.
I think this was my first time in this hangar and I love the rustic look of it. I loved the janitorial mess, the semi spray painted walls. I secretly wished this was my dining room. I know I am crazy but it really makes for cool photos.
So I tried to get the kiddos kiss each other so I can have a cool picture to hang on my walls.
Every time I ask my kids to kiss my son is all up for it and my daughter becomes um… well kinda girlie. She runs away, flirts and leaves her brother baffled. Believe me with those looks at the ripe age of 2.5 he has no issues with girls. I should rephrase that: he has a love for girls and they for him and they never ever run away.
Who could say no to this guy. Oh man I am in so much trouble when he gets older.
At least I will not have to worry about this one for a bit. As far as I know she does not like being kissed by boys and she would rather be chased.
She really really loves being chased and I am not really good at figuring out the high speed function on my camera. I have just ditched the flash option few months ago.
The kiss finally did happen and I ended up with some really cool photos. Now if I can just con the tween to go for a photo shoot with me. She is in that fun stage when she does not like to be photographed, so maybe just maybe I will ask the airport or club to use an empty hangar take 5,000 pictures and let her choose one. This way I will be able to print and finally hang some family photos on my walls.

Man, that last photo is precious! I just had to say so- even if it is 7 months ago!
