The other day I was trying to have a conversation with my sister in Poland via Viber, an iphone application that lets you talk to other users for free all over the world via WiFi (Voice over Internet to be exact), when my authoritative daughter starting yelling.
“Don’t say that !!!… Stop it !!!… Please don’t say that !!!”
“NOOO.. You can’t say that !!!”
“Just Don’t say it.. NOOO !!!”
So I stopped my conversation and turned to look at her:
“What’s the problem honey? Your bother is sleeping and I am trying to have a conversation with your aunt. We will go home shortly but I have to sit in this parking lot for fear of loosing WiFi and the call (the only bad part of free calls)”
“But Mommy… He can’t say that.. He just can’t say that”
“What is he saying honey?” I say staring at her sleeping brother
“He says that !!! He just can’t he Can’t say it !!”
and then I realized what was really making her so upset.
I guess I could have explained to my daughter that most likely she will have to deal with a snoring male at some point in her life and it is better to get used to it early, and if she is lucky she will not snore till her 60s making her undesirable to the rest of the family.
But I didn’t instead I laughed and explained the noise to my sister, who burst out laughing herself.

How cute…yes, please tell your daughter that I dealt not just with a brother who snored up a storm but a dad and now a husband too. The fun just never ends!!
