Cheswick Park may not be the pretties park on our list but it has something very pertinent to any business: Location, Location, Location. It is located right across the street from Henrico Doctors Hospital Forest Campus. We have all been in a crowded waiting room trying to entertain or calm down an energetic kid while mommy or daddy get a check up.
If you have not been there lucky you for now. Let’s face it we are not getting any younger here and little tune ups and check ups are becoming a necessity.
So now instead of meeting in a doctors office you can meet at the Park and exchange glaces while the other waits for the phone call.
Surely beats driving circles for an hour in a parking lot, which my husband did once during my dermatology appointment.
The park in itself is really nice too with two climbing structures each including at least one climbing wall. One above is for smaller kids, or ones not wanting to climb so high.
Then there is this one for ones that are fear free, which unfortunately includes my own.
There are four regular swings
and two baby swings, in case you need to swing your kiddo for an hour. I know at least one of mine would love it.
Lately however my kids (age 3) have become little hikers and love to take any path they see
Cheswick Park is good for that too. So if you want to run your kids or take a stroll with a newborn take a scenic path.
with and a little (not so clean at this time of the year) creek, full of wildlife.
It may (depending on the time of the day) include one eager nose picker.
There is also a shaded lunch area and restrooms so you can escape the heat. Keep in mind this is where a group of squirrels hangs out so there will be plenty of nature watching.
